Author notes: Redefine
So :)
Redefine is finished and Gravity is left. As with my author notes for Feel here, I figured I'd make a post about author notes for Redefine :)
To be totally honest, the plots for books 2-4 of the Twilight series disappointed me. I read them because I work in a bookstore and decided that I should read the series so I could have an informed opinion on them. As you can see, Redefine doesnt really follow 2-4. It kinda does, but not really. The only things I decided to use were Chun's reason for leaving, their group clashing with a vampire trying to make its own coven to run, and them all ending up together in the end. *shrugs* The rest is all my crazy brain coming up with a plot that I'm very glad that everyone enjoyed~
If you read through my outline below, you'll notice Kumi doesnt really appear anywhere in it. I found that as I was writing it, I liked the way Jae interacted with Kumi, and added in parts for her to appear in to become a more important person in his life. I liked putting her in as a strong female role, and also to get Jae doing something with someone other than just Yunho. I think she's a fabulous character in the story and I'm glad I chose to add her in the way I did. She has her own problems and shortcomings, and I adore her :)
There are also things I wrote in the outline that never happen, as usual. They just don't fit into the plot, or seem plausible with the way the story is going. *shrugs* That's how the cookie crumbles 8D If you really want to know why something wasn't put in, those are usually the reasons. Sometimes I end up thinking that particular bit is lame and just don't include it. Or just storyline wise, there's no way characters would do that thing.
I knew exactly how I wanted to end the fic, with the Junsu bit wtih Namie. I also know exactly how I want Gravity to end, so that's a plus. I won't say anything, but I'm sure you'll see her again eventually. As well as someone else who is pivotal in Changmin's life.
