Title: Addicted to…
Author: LotusBeauty
Type: one-shot
Rating: PG-13
Pairings: JaeKei
Genre: fluff, uh… romance?
Summary: He had to wonder why it hit him that day in particular.
Disclaimer: Not mine, never were, but a girl can dream through fiction.
It’s more than he can hope for—a word, a thought, an action. And it arrives, in the form of a text message.
—I’m free. I don’t mind if you come over (^.^)—
The happy face gets him and he’s already slipping his arms into his coat and out the door before Yunho can yell at him to be safe. Jaejoong snorts as he climbs into his car. Nothing is safer than Keita’s apartment.
Music plays in the car without him really noticing. It’s the song that comes on right before he cuts the engine that makes a smile sneak onto his face. But its quickly gone as he’s out of the car and heading up the elevator. He’s not going to text. Keita will know; he always knows.
His cheeks are red when he knocks on the door and he tries to catch his breath, but Keita is quicker, pulling the door open before he can calm himself. The sight must amuse Keita, because he grins.
“Rushing for me?”
Jaejoong’s heart leaps for half a second before his mind clicks into gear. “Never know when you need to practice for a zombie apocalypse.”
Keita laughs and replies, “Fans are cause enough.” He then reaches out to take Jaejoong’s hand to pull him into a kiss as the door closes behind him. It’s always like this, stolen time whenever they can get it—stolen kisses as soon as they can get one another alone. It’s not that Jaejoong doesn’t like it. He just feels like he’s becoming…
“I didn’t think you’d reply,” he says when the kiss ends to see Keita smile.
“We promised, didn’t we? Besides, I’d rather watch a movie with you rather than all alone.”
Jaejoong has to grin as Keita lets go and he takes his jacket off. “Ah, so I’m not being as annoying as I should be.”
Keita snorts as he takes the jacket and hangs it in the closet. “Trust me, Ryuichi is far more annoying than you could ever be. And much louder.”
“Ah, are you implying something?” Jaejoong pauses as he pulled his sweater off and glances up just in time to see the blush on Keita’s cheeks.
“N-no,” Keita manages, distracted.
Jaejoong smirks as he tosses his sweater over the back of an easy chair in the living room and moves closer to Keita. “I’ll make sure to fix my volume next time,” he murmurs to get a lecherous grin out of Keita.
He takes one step away before Keita grabs his arm and pulls him back to steal a kiss. Or two. Or three. It takes them at least ten minutes to get to the couch, which is but twelve feet away. A minute per foot, give or take, and Jaejoong isn’t going to complain. He likes the way Keita’s hands are wandering, even if he knows the second they get to the couch, Keita’s going to want to watch the movie. He’s used to this and has aspired to plotting sneak attacks during slow points in movies.
This works rather well on Keita, who is easily distracted during dull moments. They usually curl up against one another, feet propped on the coffee table as they watch. Keita complains at the television about something, Jaejoong cuts in to distract him, and soon enough they’re not paying attention to the movie anymore. But tonight, it makes Jaejoong realize just how well he knows Keita. The thought starts to eat away at his mind, and it’s not until Keita nudges him that he realizes he hasn’t been paying much attention.
Jaejoong glances up to get a worried half-smile from Keita and shrugs in reply. Keita crooks a finger at him as if to say c’mere and Jaejoong can’t stop from smiling into the kiss Keita gives him. Sound from the speakers disappears and Jaejoong hears the remote hit the floor as Keita deepens the kiss. They shift until Jaejoong is lying along the length of the couch, Keita’s heat above him as he feels this turning serious. It almost scares him—scares him because it might be real, and almost because he might want it to be.
When the kiss ends, Jaejoong feels hesitation, even without opening his eyes. He slips a hand behind Keita’s neck and leans up for one more kiss, letting their lips linger for a moment as he knows he feels it—right down to his toes. And now, that he knows, he doesn’t care.
“Not going to finish your movie?” he asks finally with a devilish smirk.
“The movies were an excuse,” Keita admits, his cheeks turning red despite all the things they’d done together. “I wanted to see you. I felt like I was…” he trails off as Jaejoong grins and pulls Keita down for another kiss. That’s all he needs to hear.
Waking up the next morning however, Jaejoong feels disoriented. He’s warm, comfortable, has someone curled up behind him, and it’s silent.
And he likes it.
